Life & Well-being Coaching
Life guarantees us inevitable challenges and change. It influences our relationships, careers, and inner landscape. Too often the systems and institutions in place leave members of marginalized communities to endure those challenges without adequate support. As a Life & Well-being Coach, I partner with my clients to help them discover their own authentic vision for their life. In coaching, clients develop fulfilling goals and design their own version of success.
Areas of Expertise
My background includes community organizing, social justice, corporate protocol and etiquette, hospitality, higher education, diversity, equity, and inclusion education, and coaching. Through these experiences, I am empowered with deepened empathy and unique perspectives to better support my clients’ visions and goals.
Life & Well-being
Change, transitions, and challenges in life are inevitable. These moments can leave us feeling stuck and overwhelmed. Even without the impetus of crisis, perhaps you’re looking to clarify your goals, design your future, or improve your overall well-being. As your coach we will discover how to utilize all the strengths you already possess and learn to meet your fears with compassion and courage. I center your vision of the life you want, letting you design what well-being means for you.
Anti-Racism & Decolonization
It is vital to understand and deconstruct the systems and institutions that marginalize and oppress members of our communities. Maybe you are someone feeling the impact and exhaustion of living through and surviving the continued traumas in our BIPOC, Queer, and Trans communities. Maybe you’re someone who is ready to learn about allyship and accompliceship. I have experience teaching credit-bearing classes at Stanford University, and I have held numerous trainings and workshops on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. My coaching can hold space, help process, and educate on anti-racism and decolonization.
Etiquette & Social Skills
In a world of fast communication, fewer face-to-face opportunities, and the changing tides of social norms, we are often left with questions about how to handle certain interactions. The pandemic has only exacerbated the uncertainty. We are no longer in the days of old-fashioned manners defined by antiquated gender norms. We need to rethink what it is to show up as our best selves, honoring our authenticity while practicing civility and courtesy to get the most out of our social experiences. As a Certified Protocol & Etiquette Consultant, I can help you navigate your personal and professional life with more ease and confidence.
How is coaching different from therapy?
In both processes we look inward, take stock of our inner landscape. In coaching, we orient toward goals, creating movement where we feel stuck. Clinical level support might focus on processing emotions or addressing diagnoses. Therapy and coaching work well in concert with one another!
What topics can I bring into coaching?
Anything! You can bring whatever you are struggling with. Are you in the midst of transition? Having a stand-off with a project? Navigating relationships? Vocational wayfinding? My clients have come to me with all of the above and more.
How might my identity shape my experience in coaching?
Your identity is what makes you you, and shapes how you experience the world. Every part of yourself is welcome and relevant in coaching. My life and my practice are open to all identities and their many intersections.
